About the Captain
Captain Dusty Powers was born and raised on the waters in of Pensacola, Florida. 
He is a 4th generation fisherman of the area. His family has made fishing a lifestyle over the years, and immensely enjoy it. Captain Dusty fishes professionally on the IFA Redfish Tour and competes in many local and regional fishing tournaments.
Enjoying his favorite pastime, Captain Dusty is the best inshore fishing guide available on the Gulf Coast. He prides himself with being the best at what he does in all aspects of his life, and fishing is absolutely no exception to that rule. Fishing since he was a tot with the likes of Josh Rozier of White Knuckles Charters, Captain Dusty enjoys nothing more than to watch someone catch the fish of a lifetime. Tournament Fishing
Captain Dusty is fortunate enough to find a few weekends a year to take time off from fishing to go fishing himself. His weekends "off" are spent either scouting the Pensacola area, or even some other random little coastal town. 
I am fortunate enough to be able to find a few weekends a year that I can take time off fishing to go fishing. These weekends "off" are spent either scouting in Pensacola or some random little coastal town.
It's this very reason that Capt Josh Rozier chooses to team up with Captain Dusty for a number of Red Fish Tournaments along the coast. Captain Josh Rozier is also based out of Pensacola, Florida running White Knuckle Charters. Captain Dusty believes he is "one of the best fisherman I know and I am lucky enough to have him as my full time IFA redfish tour partner". The two professional fishermen started fishing the IFA in 2008, and had their best finish in the Championship at 20th place (out of 120 Teams). They also fish some local slam tournaments in and around Pensacola, Florida, including the Emerald Coast Redfish Club Tournaments. They have placed in the top 5 in every local tournament that they have fished for the last 4 years, winning the Outcast Inshore Slam Tournament in 2010, which resulting in a Blazer Bay Boat as their prize.
Captain Dusty posts his fishing reports on his new blog, "The Pensacola Fishing Guide" as well as the his stories from the Emerald Coast Redfish Club tournaments. We have placed in the top 5 in every local tournament that we have fished for the last 3yrs. We won the Outcast inshore slam tournament this year winning a Blazer Bay boat as the top prize.
